Throughout the year, my blogging has changed, in simple words, substantially. In my opinion, I have experienced and impeccable sign of growth throughout my vocabulary and my inference skills. An example of this would be a contrast between the vocabulary in my first blog:
"Few words that are faced in the story might cause some type of confusion. Another reason someone would enjoy this book is because the setting. The book Insurgent takes place in Chicago, this means that some people might be able to familiarize with the setting." and a more recent blog:
"it was as if my emotions were a dam that had just unexpectedly ruptured apart. These emotions led to the deep thinking of what was life and death truly, and what was it like to know your days were counted."
Not only in my writing but in my speaking as well, I find myself using this 'smarter' or more intellectual way of vocalizing my thoughts, everyday.
Throughout the entire process of blogging and posting, my favorite blog must be my, The Fault In Our Stars blog post. Reason being that I never read a book that could toy with my emotions as much as this book had, I enjoyed it, more than I should have, never the less, I loved it. I felt that in the moment I wrote I truly knew what I was thinking about. It seemed as if the writing of John Green, had a critical impact in my blogging career, which it did have. I also feel that the moment I read that book and wrote that post, that my entire thinking of blogging, just flourished. I no longer had the mind set of, "Eww, we have to read! Why me? I don't like this, I'm telling Mom!" Reason being that, I finally figured out the fact that we weren't obligated to read books we didn't like. We could read whatever, whenever, and however. To this day, I must miserably admit, I enjoy blogging.
