Two Voice Poem- The Alchemyst: Week of 2/10/14

Pages Read: 167-271

Our world has been flipped upside down.

Maybe if I hadn't met Perry.

What if I hadn't worked at the book shop?
Things would be different.

Nothing will ever the same.

It started with the smell of sulfur.

Stone men had attacked his boss.

We were told to stay away.

Scathatch has saved our lives.

We owe it to Nick.

We've managed to escape death.

I managed to be silver.

I turned gold!

Rare and spectacular auras we were told.

It was the smell of vanilla ice cream.

The smell of oranges filled the air.

A special smell for each one of us.

She knew us, or in theory she did. She went
by the name of Hekate

The upsetting fact of leaving everything I knew.

So many things have gone wrong.

Life in a tree is anything except natural.

She changed with the sun.

Appearing 20, then 50, and then suddenly,
she wasn't herself any more.

She must help us survive.

Dee is hunting us down.

Nicholas will protect us.

We will survive.

Looks deceive you.

A supposition based on mythology.

A truth in mythology,
but a lie in it as well.

Home seems so distant now, yet we must help.

What are we going to do Josh?

I don't know Sophie, but what ever we do,
we'll do it together.

  2. I really like how you made it seem like it was from different perspectives, but it wasn't. Also, I like how you explained what was happening throughout what you've read so far instead of focusing on one part. Is this the end of the book? The way you ended the poem makes it seems like it is. Great blog!
