Dear Ender,

   It has been a while since I have heard from you. Why have you not responded to any of my letters? Valentine has been worried about you, of course so have I, but I have confidence in you. We all dearly miss you! Maybe not Peter, but you know how he is, we all know how he is. Your mother and father believe the worse has happened, but I would too, if I had not known you are a rather quick witted boy. My own mother and father hoped you would be working with my brother. What is Battle School truly like Ender? Do you practice with buggers? Is it true that if you are late to classes they punish you? Please tell me what it is like being out of orbit!

   Ender, you should also know this is not a letter of joy. I write this letter with the hopes that it will fall in to your hands. You should know that I believe that Valentine and Peter have been a bit, surreptitious, you could say. It is almost as if they were being friendly to one another. Your absence must truly be affecting Valentine, otherwise she would not be doing what she does. I truly am worried for her safety and for others around Peter. What if he tries to hurt her like he tried to hurt you several times? I don't want you to worry, just for you to simply know what is happening.

   I must again repeat myself Ender, I truly miss you. Life on Earth is simply not the same without you. I know that you must be very busy, and I wish you the best. You must be one of the most caring, kind, quick-witted, and loyal person I know. Life is not the same without you. Come home, soon! I hope you see this letter and are able to reply, goodbye Ender.
